Thanks to those of you who came along on the 12th August and welcome to those of you who have now discovered us. We are planning to run similar events in the library in future and we will advertise to attract new players. So we hope to see you at the next meeting when we will be continuing with the chess ladder and we are going to run a mini-tournament soon so watch this space...

Make a date for chess - 12 August 2011

If you are a junior player and would like to flex some chess muscles (aka brains?) over the summer when school is not interfering with chess :-) then come along to Rugby Art Gallery and Museum on 12 August.

Bob, Sue and Chris and several of the junior players will be there to help introduce others to the joys of chess, or pass along tips to improve, or simply play some games to get some practice.

Last but not least THANK YOU to Rugby Art Gallery and Museum, especially Jessica, for supporting this event and for keeping the chess table in the museum for drop in chess.  Hope to meet some new players.
