The Rugby Chess Club blog
This is not the only new chess blog on the block. There is also one for the oldies at Rugby Chess Club and there is some interesting stuff there.
For those of you who would like to learn how to make computer animations of your games there is some advice there about how to make a game in Portable Games Notation. You can save this onto your computer as an animated gif or as a PGN file and embed it into an email to your friends. Or if you ask Sue about becoming a member of this blog you can add it in here.

The Scotch Opening
The Scotch Opening is one that Bob Wildig says would be suitable for juniors to learn to play. Click on the arrow in the chessboard picture below and it will play a video of this opening with a voice over explaining it (so you need sound switched on too).
Sue and Bob, and perhaps other experienced players too, will suggest other openings, defences and chess tip videos that we will also share here from time to time. Look out for them. If you find a good video or tip yourself then ask Sue to post it in here.
